In Memory of
Mildred Josephine (Freese) Michael
Mildred Josephine (Freese) Michael (”Millie”) was born March 31st, 1925, in Plattin, Missouri, to Chester Henry and Anna Elizabeth (Hagberg) Freese. She graduated from the first eight grades, from a one-room country school house. She graduated from Crystal City High School, and entered the World War II Cadet Nursing Corps Program on August 30, 1943,
at City Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
She married Reverend David O. Michael on June 9, 1945. While serving the Lord in several locations throughout Missouri, Millie was always an active partner in David’s ministries. Having developed an appreciation for the Jewish roots of Christianity and a love for Israel and the Jewish People, David and Millie led many journeys to the Holy Land. After her husband’s death, she came to live in Springfield, Missouri, near family. She loved The Tabernacle Messianic congregation, and she also hosted a weekly Torah study group in her home.
Millie and husband, David, of 48 years had two daughters: Marilyn McBurney and Sharon Hines. Her sister’s two children, Ann Hinkebein and Bill Sullivan, came to live with Millie and family, periodically, during her sister’s terminal illness. In addition, she had six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
After faithfully enduring failing health,
the Most High God took her home at last.
She is forever with the Light of the World, her Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach.
