One of the biggest unintentional
stresses is produced when we eat more acid-producing foods than
reserve-replenishing foods.
We recall from last month’s article
that vegetables and fruits build up your alkaline and acid-producing
foods such as meats, breads, sweets, dairy, keep taking them out.
Foods are not the only thing that
causes an acid imbalance. Most medications, prescriptions (blood
pressure, pain relievers, hormones, antibiotics…), alcoholic drinks,
all are acid and require reserve to neutralize.
We learned that there are real
dangers in eating too many acid foods without offsetting them with
enough alkaline foods and supplements to neutralize the pH levels.
If you haven’t read the last two
articles leading up to this one, you can read them on the following
links to catch up.

The important thing to remember is:
If this imbalance happens every once in awhile and your body has a
chance to build its reserves in between, it’s OK. But if day
after day you are depleting your body, if you keep robbing Peter to
pay Paul, you may not notice right away, but there will come a day
when your reserve is used up and disease will set in or you will
simply die.
When your body must fight to maintain life-sustaining pH levels, you
are a prime candidate for progressive disease – or worse.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
If the acid overload gets too great for the blood to balance, excess
acid is dumped into the tissues for storage. Then the lymphatic
(immune) system must neutralize what it can-and try to get rid of
everything else.
